• Hello everybody,

  I’ve downloaded the Traktor mapping for my Vestax vci-400 from the Vestax site and for me, these mappings are ok except for the browser section. Apparently, the only thing I can do with the browser knob, is go up and down the list (turning) and change from mixer mode to browser mode and back (pushing).

  I had a Numark stealth control where the browsing was very simple (perfect for me) but efficient and I would like to remap Traktor to be approximately the same for the Vestax. I was thinking about:

  left shift + push browser knob to toggle between tree and list

  dial the browser knob to go up/down the tree and the same when in list

  when in tree, push the browser knob to expand/collapse

  Now here’s my question: is this possible and if yes, how? I must admid, I,m an absolute noob with computers.

  Since it’s midi and Traktor has an extensive list of midi commands you can map (including browser functions) I’d say it can be done.

  /2008-hayabusa-auto-tune-table.html. Now HOW it can be done, that’s a different story. Time to dig into midi mapping and experimenting.
